Macaroni Primavera
Pasta Primavera is a simple and no fuss pasta dish. Just put in all your fresh veggies, olive oil, some herbs, salt and pepper to taste and voila, you have a hearty and healthy meal! Here's one version with some Italian sausage (and so this is the unhealthy versionand some veggies available in the pantry. Total preparation time (15 minutes)
- 2 cups of cooked macaroni (cooked for about 10 minutes for al dente texture, 12 minutes for a more well done pasta)
- 1 whole salad tomato, diced
- 1 1/2 cup of cooked brocolli
- 1/4 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tsp dried mixed herbs (find an italian mix, or combine oregano and basil)
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp of chicken broth powder
- 1 medium size Italian sausage, cooked and sliced
In a bowl, combine the macaroni, slices of Italian sausage tomatoes and brocolli. Pour in half of the olive oil and toss the ingredients. Add the garlic and herbs, chicken broth powder. Pour in the rest of the olive oil and toss. Add salt and pepper to taste.
